The offices are now rapidly approaching a state fit for occupancy.  We will be installing the final items in week six, after which point the office will be migrated.

London Central Build Blog – Week 4

Week 4 on site has seen the transformation of the office space really start to take shape. Emphasis has been placed on this side of the building so that our operational hub can be migrated to Bermondsey as soon as possible. As the pictures will begin to illustrate, we are maintaining our superb brand and corporate image, taking our stylistic offices to the next level with dramatic feature walls, interesting spaces and intrinsic design. This all creates a space which our staff are overjoyed to work in, and a space in which customers feel relaxed and at home.

As you can see, things are really beginning to take shape now. Week 5 will see things start to come together, with flooring and the early stages of furniture additions ahead of migrating our office to the new site shortly thereafter.

London Central Build Blog – Week 3

Week 3 focused largely on the final structural works in the office side of the facility, along with rewiring of the office electrical systems.

This week also saw us cut in our vision panels, which we are very excited about. We have never seen another data centre install anything like this before, so we are hoping it will be well received by our customers and the industry at large.

Can you guess exactly what these vision panels will allow for? We are keeping our cards close to our chest for the time being, however those with a keen eye will probably be able to work this out for themselves! We will present more detailed photos once the glass has been installed.

Much of the work undertaken this week has been behind the scenes, such as the rewiring of the office which is all hidden behind the walls, ceiling and under the floor. Another piece of structural work completed this week was the finalisation of the electrical intake room’s cabinet wall, which will take most of our new electrical switch gear.

London Central Build Blog – Week 2 Part 2

The structure of the mezzanine floor has reached completion this week. This is the first major milestone to be reached in this project, meaning that primary building works are now complete.

This week also saw office works begin, with the removal of all existing flooring in this side of the building.

We have also begun to take delivery of our new Cisco core infrastructure. This has been delivered early to allow for all pre-configuration works to be carried out by our team, ready for our go live date.

Our new Cisco core will be faster and more resilient than the system it is replacing in Sutton. We are investing heavily in both network and power infrastructure at the new data centre, making it one of London’s most advanced hosting facilities.

Build works are now well under way, with all areas of the facility seeing dramatic change. The office side of the facility has had its flooring removed ready for our new carpets and hard floors, which will be the first major installation on the office side of the site.
