This is a free networking event for businesses local to Sutton and the surrounding areas, presenting attendees with the unique opportunity to tour Sutton’s only data centre. As most of our readers will already know, Mayor of London Boris Johnson opened our data centre for us in May of last year during a visit to Sutton. This was a fantastic day for Netwise, and really helped in getting our name placed alongside some of London’s most important figureheads.

This has been further backed up this week, with a personal invitation from Boris Johnson himself to attend City Hall for a meeting to discuss future plans. Boris took a real interest in the progress of our business during his visit in 2012, and is very keen to meet again and catch up, sharing more stories on where we are now, and the details of what’s been happening since his last visit.

This week has seen the launch of a new operating system option on all of our dedicated server platforms. You can now select ‘Custom OS’ as an option during checkout, which will allow for the provision of your server with operating systems outside the remit of our most popular standard options.

This is ideally suited to customers with special requirements, or those with a need to run fully customised versions of operating systems for their end services to function correctly. We can provision servers with any OS, provided you make the required images and any associated licences available to our team during setup.

It is also the option of choice for those customers looking to take full advantage of our powerful new range of dedicated servers by virtualising the machines with the likes of VMware and Citrix.
